Kem Cetinay says he wants to return to Love Island this year following his failed Amber Davies romance… and she’s not happy

He emerged from Love Island victorious last year, taking home the £25,000 prize money and leaving on the arm of girlfriend Amber Davies.

And Kem Cetinay has now revealed that he's ready to find love again following his split from the Welsh pocket rocket, taking to his Instagram account on Thursday to ask for a second shot on the ITVBe reality show.

The reality star, 21, shared a shirtless throwback snap of himself in Mallorca last summer, showing off his bronzed, muscular physique and six-pack.

Kem Cetinay has told fans that he wants to return to Love Island this summer following his failed romance with Amber Davies.

The Dancing On Ice star took to Instagram today to say he's hopeful that he'll be "second time lucky", and naturally his ex is not happy.

Sharing a photo of his toned body, Kem wrote: "Missing the hot weather... wouldn't mind another summer in the villa. Second time lucky".

One fan commented: "You and Chris need to go back in" while another joked they'd "defo" be applying if Kem returned to the reality show.

Others weren't quite as impressed, however, with one social media user declaring, 'Second time lucky I absolutely love u but I think that comment is disrespectful to amber'.

Despite their split, Amber, 20, showed her support for her former flame Kem on Twitter during his time on Dancing On Ice.

Amber Davies responded: "Yanno when you write out an indirect tweet and then delete it.

"Then re-write it in a different way. But know you shouldn't post it. So just end up deleting it all. That's me. Everyday."

The reality TV couple announced their short-lived relationship was over back in December.

The Essex boy and Welsh beauty decided to call it quits after a string of rows.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun back in November, a pal said: "They've been at each other's necks for the past month.

They've clashed over the smallest things. It's also been very hard for them to see each other with their hectic schedules.

"They tried to make it work but realised they want different things."

Releasing a statement shortly after the news broke, Amber and Kem confirmed the news.

It read: "With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. Our schedules made it difficult. We'll remain good friends."

Appearing on Lorraine on Monday, Kem discussed his time on Dancing On Ice, and discussed his joy over her kind message.

She had written: 'Let's get @KemCetinay and Alex to the final of Dancing on Ice guys!! Break a leg.'

Speaking about his eviction on Sunday's semi-final, the reality star said: 'It was really nice that Amber tweeted her support, it was so nice to see her say stuff like that.

'I think we both came out [of Love Island] and I was so oblivious to any of this, even when I had one Dancing On Ice, it was such a nerve-wracking thing because you kind of feel like, for me, I felt like do I deserve my place on this show?'

Being honest about his anxiety on the show, he added: 'Because there are people on here that have been doing this for so long, have been in the industry for so long. You don't know what people will think.'
