Survival Of The Fittest cast warned to be vigilant after poacher is EATEN by a lion 'near TV set'

The Survival Of The Fittest cast are on high-alert after a lion savaged a local man.

ITV bosses have warned the show's contestants to be vigilant after a poacher was mauled to death in the same region of South Africa where the TV set is located.
Shockingly, only a head and "some remains" were left of the unidentified victim, who was found near Kruger National Park, in Limpopo, last week.
Now, telly execs have amped-up security to minimise any potential harm to both the cast and production.

According to reports, there are specific concerns that the same wild cat could now be roaming loose near their compound.
A source told the Daily Star : “This is a bit startling and the danger of living next to these beautiful but deadly animals has now really hit home.
“Security on set are sure to be doubly wary after reports of the fatal incident.”
Fortunately, there is already a ranger on-hand to try and flag-up danger, while managing other wild animals in the area, including rhinos, hippos and leopards.
There is also a pride of lions in a nearby location, just a short distance from the set.

Not that this would be the contestants' first brush with nature, of course.

Monkeys have already raided the lodge's food cupboards, while snakes were found at the local swimming location.
Meanwhile, host Laura Whitmore has been documenting her own closeness to nature with a series of pictures on her Instagram page.
One snap, which shows a lion yawning, is captioned: "The face you make when you’re well chuffed with your hide and Seek spot (I’m getting good at this wildlife photography malarkey!) ".
